SNEAK PEEK – and it’s all from one set! January 8, 2008

Can you believe it?  All the pics you will see in this post are from one stamp set….and they are rather simple images (so the cards didn’t take long to make).  This is a sneak peek for MFT’s new release Happy Occassions on January 9th (tomorrow).  I love how this set has a frame image that ccordinates perfectly with a Marvy Uchida Mega Scalloped Square Punch.

Let’s start with the box.  It’s a magnetic closure box by Creative Imaginations that I decorated with KI Memories Colorful Funky Stipe patterned paper and covered with Decoupage.  Added some SU! Black Gingham ribbon and tied in a bow.  The stamped image is flowers from the Mother’s Day stamp.  I added K&Company colored adhesive rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.   Hard to see but I also punched 3 circles with my 1″ Circle Punch of the same patterned paper just to add a little touch above the ribbon.

Here is what the box holds:

mft happy occassions box inside  Contains 11 cards that coordinate with the box.  I went with the striped paper so it would be easy to create all the images for a set.

Now, I will post all the contents for you to see.  Did I mention this is all one set???

Valentine’s Day (thursday 2/9/08):

The heart was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Added Crystal Effects and Micro Beads.

St. Patty’s Day (Monday 3/17/08):

For some reason, Photoshop would not let me edit the st. patty’s pics???  I simply applied Crystal Effects to the clover and it is attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Easter (Sunday 3/23/08):

I created the grass by scalloping it and making close tiny cuts.  Made the bunny 1/2 in the grass.

Ahhhhh, sneak peek number two is sooo yummy.  I love the way the chocolates turned out on this card.

                                   mft be mine card 2

It’s a cute little 3-1/2″ square card just perfect to later add to a box of chocolates for my husband….reason for the “hey sexy” tag on the left of the card:)  I kept the card base and layers all white so the main image would stand out.  There are 5 layers total all of different matting sizes with the top being a scalloped square.

For the main image, I colored the chocolates in with an Aqua Painter using Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel ink.  I then used a white gel pen to add the appearance of white chocolate drizzled on top of some of them.  I added pink Stickles (CottonCandy) to some to give the appearance of a sprinkled frosting.  Finally, covered each candy with Crystal Effects.  They appear very realistic.
