be mine sneak peek January 8, 2008

MFT’s new release mini set is called Be Mine.  Just perfect for the upcoming holiday of love.

                                   mft be mine card 1

I used Aluminum Square Tags to frame the heart images of the stamp set.  I Fresh Favorites I & Earth Elements Colored Buttons with Silver Elastic Cord to accent some of the hearts.  I used my 1″ Circle Punch behind each heart.  Finished off with Sherbert Ribbon Originals and Silver Brads.

Ahhhhh, sneak peek number two is sooo yummy.  I love the way the chocolates turned out on this card.

It’s a cute little 3-1/2″ square card just perfect to later add to a box of chocolates for my husband….reason for the “hey sexy” tag on the left of the card:)  I kept the card base and layers all white so the main image would stand out.  There are 5 layers total all of different matting sizes with the top being a scalloped square.

For the main image, I colored the chocolates in with an Aqua Painter using Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel ink.  I then used a white gel pen to add the appearance of white chocolate drizzled on top of some of them.  I added pink Stickles (CottonCandy) to some to give the appearance of a sprinkled frosting.  Finally, covered each candy with Crystal Effects.  They appear very realistic.
